Midjourney Medical Division

• Official launch of Midjourney's new medical division.
• First public project showcased in partnership with Harvard.
• Medical team currently represents a small portion of the company (roughly 9 people), with the majority of staff still focused on core Midjourney products.
• Additional non-medical projects are also in development, including consumer-focused hardware initiatives.

Large Batch Mode

• Large Batch mode is now available, allowing generation of 24 images at a lower cost.
• Adoption has been lower than expected.
• Team is actively looking for community feedback on how to improve its usefulness.

V8.2 Preview (--preview)

• --preview is effectively an early version of the upcoming V8.2 release.
• Expected V8.2 launch timeframe: next 1–2 weeks.
• Current issues being addressed:
  • Occasional unwanted gore generation.
  • Some coherence inconsistencies.
• Users are encouraged to test --preview now to experience upcoming V8.2 changes.

Image Editing & Omni-Reference

• Active development continues on:
  • Inpainting.
  • Outpainting.
  • Image editing.
  • Image prompting.
  • Omni-reference systems.
• Team hopes to release an initial omni-reference implementation soon.
