Unlike traditional Midjourney prompting, [🗨️ Conversational Mode] is supported by a specialized Midjourney LLM that will let you use a “chat” style of addressing Midjourney, in text or voice.

In the “Create” tab on the website, click the speech bubbles icon 💬. This button toggles Conversational Mode on and off. If you then click on the microphone icon, you can speak your instructions instead of typing.

Voice commands in Conversational Mode may take practice. To ease into it, try using Conversational Mode with text first to get comfortable.

If you use Conversational Mode in voice with a microphone, --draft will be added to the prompt automatically to help with speed.

Slower speaker? Me too. If you find Conversational Mode in voice is making images before you’re done speaking, say, “*Do not make an image until I say ‘Ready’.*” (Or whatever you want your “Go” keyword to be.) Then proceed to describe the image you want. Deliver the word “Ready” to kick off the image generation.
